Pricing questions

What to expect

Why do employer costs vary so much by city?
Social-insurance and housing-fund rates, along with the contribution floors and ceilings, are set locally and differ between cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. We calculate each payroll against the employee's city, so the employer cost is accurate.
Is there a deposit?
Sometimes, often around one month of payroll, held to fund salary and contributions. It is refundable and we confirm the amount in your quote.
Do you charge to offboard someone?
Standard offboarding, including statutory severance calculation and the release letter, is part of the service. We will flag any unusual costs upfront.
When does an own WFOE make more sense?
Once your headcount approaches roughly 15, or you need to invoice Chinese customers directly and issue your own fapiao, the per-employee fee can exceed the cost of running your own entity. We are happy to model that comparison and help you transition.
